Cooking baby food is an important factor in giving your baby a full nutritional diet. Carrots, butternut squash, sweet potato yams, and green kale just to name a few. Cook ingredient you choose in boiling water until fork tender best if you don't over cook it too much for leafy greens 30 seconds max because of the nutrition factor, the blanching technique method is always good to stop the cooking process and for the food to look more vibrant, the green will look greener, orange will look orang-er, you get the point? Blanching consist of a bowl filled with water and lot's of ice, when done cooking transfer ingredient in blender and add a little water while blending, until you achieved a smooth puree.
My baby loves his pureè veggies warm with equal parts of baby rice cereal to your choice of pureè. add a little formula milk or breast milk to loosen the mixture, remember to mix well. it should resemble and have the texture of a apple sauce but this works for my baby and loves his pureès.
All babies are different so experiment on what your child likes.
Here's what we made for him this week!
Good luck mommys/expecting mothers out there and happy eating your adorable babies!
I'm a new mom here. I would love to hear about your experiences when it comes to baby food. Any ideas?
